ほのぼのする童話系ガンダム？
ターンエーガンダムには、機動戦士や機動新世紀のような前置きや副題が付いていません。
ガンダムもザク（ボルジャーノン）もアーガマのような戦艦も出てくるには出てきます。
しかし、ファーストガンダムやゼータガンダム、ユニコーンガンダムの様な作品とは一線も二
線も画す様な作品。
率直な意見では、富野監督がジブリ作品を制作したら、こういった作品になるかなぁという感じです。
月のお姫様が地球へ
ターンエーの主なあらすじですが、月の民・ムーンレイスが地球のアメリア大陸に入植したいと地球側に申し出る。
しかし、その事実を脅威に感じたが地球側は市民軍「ミリシャ」を結成。
地球側の嫌な予感は的中してしまう。
ムーンレイスは月の女王陛下の軍隊・ディアナ・カウンターを結成。
地球に攻撃を仕掛けて、武力行使で地球を制圧しようとする。
7月22日（木・祝）に劇場版『Ｇのレコンギスタ Ⅲ』「宇宙からの遺産」が公開されることを記念して、2014年より期間限定発売された「『∀ガンダム』Blu-ray BOX」が、同仕様・同価格の特装限定版として2021年9月28日（火）に発売決定！

その後は、ガンダムあるある（笑）で、主人公が偶然にもガンダムを操縦する事態に陥ります。
この時代ではガンダムはホワイトドールと崇められています。
宇宙世紀時代の白い奴や白い悪魔みたいな異名でしょうか。
アムロやシャアが存在する宇宙世紀時代の全ては忌むべき歴史、旧歴史、黒歴史として扱われています。
武力行使には反対する、月の女王 ディアナ・ソレルと地球のヒロイン キエル・ハイムが全く同じ容姿。
その容姿を利用して互いに軍を入れ替わり、地球とディアナカウンターにかかわっていく。
これは物語の核となっていますが、声優も同一人物だけに混乱を禁じえません（笑）
面白いのが、黒歴史時代のモビルスーツや戦艦等がボコボコ、発掘されます（笑）
ガンダムを代表するモビルスーツ・ザク（ボルジャーノン）が発掘されたのは分かる。
しかし、ダブルゼータに出てきたカプルや、ランバラルが指揮したギャロップ等の発掘は、不思議なセレクトに思える（笑）
ターンエーのライバル機であるターンエックスの他、この時代のモビルスーツも数体出てきます。
富野監督も言ってますが、戦闘シーンは極力抑えて、牧歌的で穏やかなシーンが多いです。
ビームフィールドは蝶の羽
迫力満点のモビルスーツ同士の戦闘シーンや、艦対戦を楽しみに見ると痛い目にあいます（笑）
Iフィールドは、蝶の羽ばたきが如く煌びやかなビームシールドのように表現されています。
ターンエーとターンエックスの最終決戦は驚愕の結末！
相討ちとなり両機共に大きな繭に包まれてオブジェと化す。
戦後の１０分弱のエピローグも、ジブリ的な穏やかな終わり方をしています。
あらゆる点から異色のガンダム作品です。
同じ感覚のガンダムシリーズでも、ターンエーよりも、Ｇのレコンギスタを鑑賞する方がモビルスーツの種類も戦闘も多い。

敵も味方のパイロットや軍人も多い戦闘は大迫力の “Gのレコンギスタ” の方が面白い気がします。
フジテレビで放送した最初で最後のガンダム。
見直してみると、髭ガンダムと言われたターンエーのヒゲもあんまり違和感が無いのは不思議です（笑）

A Heartwarming Gundam Tale?
Turn A Gundam lacks the typical prefixes or subtitles like “Mobile Suit” or “Mobile New Century.”
It features Gundams, Zaku (Boljarnon), and battleships like the Argama.
However, it stands apart from series like Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, or Unicorn Gundam.
To be frank, if director Tomino had created a film for Studio Ghibli, it might have resembled something like this.
The main plot of Turn A revolves around the Moonrace, lunar settlers who wish to colonize Earth’s Ameria continent.
Earth forms the militia “Militia” in response to this request, fearing the Moonrace’s intentions.
Their fears are validated when the Moonrace forms the Queen Dianna Counter military force and launches attacks on Earth to conquer it.
The story then takes a typical Gundam turn when the protagonist unexpectedly finds himself piloting a Gundam. In this era, Gundams are revered as White Dolls, akin to the “White Devil” of the Universal Century.
The events of the Universal Century, including the presence of Amuro and Char, are considered taboo, ancient history, or “black history.”
The narrative revolves around the identical appearances of Queen Dianna Sorrel of the Moon and the Earth heroine Kihel Heim, who exploit their resemblance to swap places and become involved in the conflict between Earth and the Dianna Counter.
This central plot point is further complicated by the fact that both characters are voiced by the same voice actor, adding to the confusion.
An interesting aspect is the excavation of Mobile Suits and battleships from the Universal Century era, such as the Zaku (Boljarnon), which is understandable, but the selection of units like the Kapool from Double Zeta or the Gallop commanded by Lalah Sune seems rather peculiar.
In addition to Turn X, the rival Mobile Suit of Turn A, several Mobile Suits from this era make appearances.
As Tomino himself has stated, the series focuses more on pastoral and tranquil scenes rather than intense combat.
The battles between Mobile Suits and ships may leave viewers disappointed if they’re expecting the usual exhilarating Gundam combat.
The Beam Field is depicted as a dazzling beam shield akin to the fluttering of butterfly wings.
The final showdown between Turn A and Turn X is astonishing, resulting in a mutual destruction that leaves both units encased in giant cocoons, turning into objects.
Even the brief 10-minute epilogue after the war ends adopts a gentle, Ghibli-esque tone.
Turn A Gundam is an unusual entry in the Gundam franchise in every aspect.
Compared to Turn A, G-Reco offers a more thrilling experience with its multitude of Mobile Suit types and combat scenarios involving both allies and enemies.
Turn A Gundam, the first and last Gundam series to air on Fuji TV, surprisingly doesn’t feel out of place with its unique elements, even with Turn A’s mustache being likened to a beard.
