Volume 191 consists of only two lengthy parts, akin to a double feature film!
The US military employs unmanned combat drones to target and eliminate rebel forces from the skies above.
However, due to a mistake in the intelligence, a missile targets what was thought to be a vehicle carrying the target!
But to everyone’s surprise, it turns out to be Golgo 13…
Caught completely off guard, Golgo sustains severe injuries, with a metal pipe lodged in his abdomen threatening fatal consequences if removed carelessly.
As a result, he orders a civilian woman to be taken hostage and escorted to a location with an unmanned surgical machine (Leonardo).
On the other side, the US military, led by a superior officer with a grudge against Golgo, decides to eliminate him despite his significant injuries, believing that even Golgo couldn’t escape in such a condition, initiating pursuit to finish him off once and for all.
With a broken leg and injuries all over his body, Golgo is questioned by a woman who escaped from her abusive husband.
Woman: “What’s the ‘value’ of surviving to such an extent?”
Golgo 13: “…To relinquish that while still alive…is not within my rules…”
Upon hearing Golgo’s name, she learns his identity as Duke Togo and receives nearly $10,000 as compensation.
Determined to reclaim her child from her husband, she resolves to take action.
Golgo manages to evade CIA checkpoints and reaches Leonardo, only to be bombed moments later.
While many thought Golgo had perished, another incomplete machine, Leopard, lies dormant underground.
Why didn’t the US destroy “Leonardo” and confirm Golgo 13’s body?
Golgo 13 vows never to forgive those who target him, no matter where they hide, using his Golgo Network to execute those involved.
She secretly resolves:
“…I may not be able to raise you like him, but I want to instill some of his strength in you, even just a little!!”
Despite having a far greater number of kills, aside from government and high-profile assignments, Golgo 13 also saves lives.
Beyond the Meteor Shower
A unmanned satellite known as the Killer Satellite is hijacked by terrorists.
If left unchecked, it could destroy the International Space Station.
To prevent this, Golgo 13 ventures into space aboard a manned satellite!
Is Duke Togo simply earning a large sum of money, or is it a matter of personal interest for him?
No matter how challenging the task, he seems to accept only assignments with a 100% chance of success after thorough preparation.
Golgo 13’s ability to ask questions and listen to his associates is unparalleled.
Moreover, his understanding and insight surpass what any human could possess.
If one could ask such precise questions, they would surely advance in their career (laughs).
Golgo: “I don’t have a hobby of entrusting my life to others…”
And thus, Golgo begins his zero-gravity sniping with his specialized rifle and bullets.
Without test shots, he aims for a single shot success…
While both parts are compelling, “10,000-Kilometer Sniper” adds an extra thrill as Golgo 13 finds himself relentlessly pursued.
