そして、凱旋からたった１年で、しかもIWGP世界ヘビーを持つ内藤哲也とのタイトルマッチを実現に辿り着きました。
これで名実ともに新世代の旗手と言って間違いないでしょう。
正直なところ、後藤が勝利すると思ってましたが、時代をこじ開けるエナジーが荒武者の執念を上回りました。
