Tetsuya Naito discusses his direct match victory against SANADA and lays out his subsequent defense plans.
He is the winner of the NEW Japan Cup 2024, and what’s noteworthy is the already confirmed singles match with Jon Moxley in Chicago in April.
Naito expresses his desire for a title match against the “Mad Dog” of AEW, which, if realized, would be a fitting challenge for the world heavyweight title and would likely ignite Moxley’s spirit even more.
However, without a victory in his first defense match on February 24th, none of this will materialize.
Off the ring, there seems to be genuine emotions between Naito and SANADA, the latter having taken much-needed rest compared to Naito’s non-stop appearances in the series, resulting in a significant gap in condition.
Nevertheless, the unwavering support of the fans and Naito’s renewed vigor will undoubtedly propel his charismatic presence.
